At last - a hands-on, easy to understand
guide to MetaStock! Written for the beginner, Lisa's
Little Green MetaStock Book will teach you how to create a chart and
actually use MetaStock by working through the process of creating
Martin's Market Cycle Model template he so commonly uses.
This guide is not like other MetaStock training courses. Pictures
guide you through the procedure creating "useable" and common
MetaStock items. This includes a template, layout, working with
the DownLoader, creating a composite security and custom toolbar,
attaching an Expert Advisor and more! There's even a bit of basic
Windows need-to-knows for good measure.
-
Begin with an introduction to
basic Windows commands such as drag and drop and the copy and
move commands - the same commands you need to understand before
you can maneuver in MetaStock.
-
Then move on to the
MetaStock interface. Here you will create a custom
toolbar, and create a chart from scratch. You will then cover
the Chart Toolbar and the all-important Application Properties
dialog. The Data Window is covered here as well.
-
During the project,
you will create Martin's KST Market Cycle Model template using
the Organizer button to download and import the short-
intermediate- and long-term KSTs! You will also learn to
change the default color and line styles, change the properties
of your X and Y axis and change the Inner Window properties.
-
Next you're ready to
work with the DownLoader, work with end-of-day securities,
create a composite security and learn to download other vendors
data.
-
Now that you have a
chart, it's time to apply an Expert Advisor and lastly, learn to
set up an exploration and analyze the results!
-
MetaTips offer quick
tips and tricks on various subjects - hotkeys, basic MetaStock
shortcuts and more!
-
There are even mini
lessons along the way. Try This! are fun
projects that will answer questions such as "What have I
done with my toolbars and how do I get them back" to
learning how to create a multiple security exploration.
The Little Green Book comes complete with Martin's Learning
the KST CD. Now that you have his Market Cycle Model, you need
to understand and be able to apply this powerful indicator.
You even have access to the formulas!
After
covering all 11 lessons within the the 130 pages, you're sure to find
yourself high on the learning curve for MetaStock.
